Mechanical Design Engineer
This position will be responsible for the design, support, and development of our sensor products for power generation, with significant focus on our thermocouple and pressure transmitter products.
In addition, the Design Engineer will provide engineering, manufacturing and project management support. This includes all aspects of the business including design engineering, AutoCAD, SolidWorks 3D modeling, drawing creation, reverse engineering, component selection, environmental analysis, qualification testing, and project management.
Highly motivated at being the best and thrive on learning something new every day; this engineer will interact with the sales and marketing group as well as production during the development process. He or She will be working with both mechanical and electrical assemblies and need to perform in depth analysis during the design review to minimalize the effects of the various environmental stresses applied on the units including temperature, vibration, gamma radiation, steam, and chemical exposure. Plus, will be working with outside test labs to coordinate required testing to meet design criteria.
Additionally, this position will work directly with sales and customers during the order review process to verify compliance to customer environmental design requirements.
Position Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required with a preference on strong mechanical background.
Experience in Aerospace, Military, Nuclear, or Environmental Qualifications a plus.
5-7 years' experience in engineering design.
Strong SolidWorks user and have experience with 3D modeling for stress analysis.
Must be experienced in MS Office applications and have strong Excel skills.
