Optical Alignment Technician

Major purpose:
Primary responsibility for supporting multiple engineering programs requiring assembly, alignment, integration and test of complex optical systems.
Major functions:
o Ability to use a wide variety of metrology equipment (oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, interferometers, wavefront sensors, LUPI, cameras etc.) required to align and test precision optical systems.
o Collaborate with Mechanical, Optical and Electrical Engineers to improve manufacturing process and discuss part/process failures on the floor and in the field.
o Subassembly, assembly and system level building, integration and testing of complex optical sensors, focusing and imaging optics following procedures and prints.
o Work with adhesives to bond optical elements in mounts.
o Execute clean room protocols.
o Cleaning small optics
o Build opto-mechanical assemblies (use of microscope for inspection and assembly) and metrology (optical, mechanical and electrical).
Technical/Functional skills:
o Ability to work with mechanical, optical and electronic engineers within the company to improve manufacturing process and discuss part/process failures on the floor.
o Communication skills, oral and written with ability to communicate status and fill in build documentation; ability to summarize data in reports.
o Must demonstrate experience involving some or all of the following disciplines: mechanical assembly requiring proficient manual dexterity, optical component assembly and test, and/or electronics assembly and test.
Additional Job Requirements
o AS Engineering preferred and 2-3 years of experience in handling of delicate optical surfaces of varied materials and optical alignment, integration and test experience that involves imaging systems, precision metrology euipment and interferometers.
o Ability to work with mechanical, optical and electronic engineers within the company to improve manufacturing process and discuss part/process failures on the floor.
o Communication skills, oral and written with ability to communicate status and fill in build documentation; ability to summarize data in reports.
o Must demonstrate experience involving some or all of the following disciplines: mechanical assembly requiring proficient manual dexterity, optical component assembly and test, and/or electronics assembly and test.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
