Furniture Installer & Delivery

Receives, assembles and installs office furniture and other related products at customers' site per furniture plans and blueprints, using small hand-held power tools. The Installer works under the direction of a Lead Installer and works as part of a crew. The installer is responsible for loading company vehicles with product and equipment, accurately completing paperwork and ensuring that company vehicles and equipment are well maintained.

Job Functions:
1.) Reviews Installation/Vehicle Schedule and in the preceding afternoon, in preparation for the upcoming day's assignment(s).
2.) Loads or assists in loading assigned vehicle with all product and equipment necessary to complete the day's workload.
3.) Inspects loads for potential problems/discrepancies and ensures that all necessary tools, parts and equipment are available and loaded.
4.) Assembles and installs office furniture and other related products at the customer's site, according to blueprints, using small hand-held power tools. Works under the direction of a Lead Installer, as part of a crew of other team members and/or subcontractors assigned to the job.
5.) Completes appropriate paperwork, documenting any discrepancies and punch list items. Returns all paperwork to the Scheduling Team no later than one business day after job completion.
6.) Complies with all safety policies and procedures and ensures compliance of all safety policies and procedures by team members and subcontractors.
7.) Ensures company vehicle and equipment are tracked and are in good working condition, alerting Schedulers of any concerns and/or problems. Maintains a clean vehicle and conducts routine vehicle inspections/Fueling is in accordance with company policy.
8.) Assists Lead Installer in overseeing the performance of subcontractors by providing feedback to the Lead Installer regarding any performance-related issues.
9.) Consult Lead if any changes/extra work is needed or asked of by customer.
10.) Assumes the role of Lead Installer, in limited instances, when a Lead Installer is not present on the job.
11.) Performs the duties of other job functions in the Operations Department as needed, based upon business conditions and scheduling implications.


Skills & Abilities:
Ability to assemble and install office furniture and other related products, both Steelcase and non-Steelcase, utilizing necessary hand-held power tools.
Ability to read furniture plans and blueprints.
Ability to lift and move loads of up to 100 lbs.
Ability to load and pack delivery truck.
Valid driver's license and good driving record & reliable transportation
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
