Title: Senior MEMS Product Engineer Location: MA-Wilmington
Under supervision of engineering manager, track and then regularly facilitate new product development projects. Support product introduction to manufacturing and the transition of products to post-introduction support structures. Contribute to process, yield, and quality groups to improve or resolve process/product interactions. Develop and release automotive compliant functional safety and product, design, and application failure mode effect and analysis documentation. Collaborate with Marketing, Applications, Sales and Design to align new product capabilities with customer defined performance requirements. Develop and track cost model for new product introduction; develop robust cost step-down post release plans. Participate in post-sales support teams using the Eight Disciplines Problem Solving (8D) process for customer issue resolution.
Master's degree or foreign educational equivalent in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline such as Electrical and Computer Engineering plus 1 year of product development experience involving: performing silicon debug using high-frequency analog, mixed signal, and digital test equipment, and analysis of schematics using Cadence Design Suite; creating and supporting the submission of automotive product development deliverables using APQP and PPAP processes, including creation of FMEA and FMEDA documentation, and application of functional safety requirements; interacting with customers on new product definition and issue resolution; working with engineering management to define goals and priorities including creating and executing financial plans for products in production at volumes greater than 1M/yr; executing organized problem solving using automotive 8D process and six-sigma methods; creating and executing risk mitigation plans; and, project management and consensus building with teams greater than 10 people. Must have knowledge of: modeling techniques applied to MEMS design and microsystem interface with electronics; analog integrated circuit design including switched-capacitor circuits, A/Ds, and D/As; and, VLSI as demonstrated by graduate level coursework or one year of experience.
