MEMS Product Applications Engineer

Company Name:
Analog Devices
Description
MEMS Inertial Sensors is a rapidly expanding market and that means growth opportunities within ADI. Customers are creating incredibly innovative products utilizing motion sensing, so this exposure leads to an unlimited learning opportunity in an amazing technology.
Responsibilities are focused in three main areas:
Customer Design In Support: Provide Applications & Technical Support to ADI customers for high performance MEMS inertial sensors. The candidate must have both thorough understanding of relevant products and good analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve customer technical systems issues during both design and production phases. Collateral such as hardware, software, and training materials must also be generated in order to create ease of use and a low touch step/repeat model for a broad base of customers
New Product Definition: Definition of new high performance MEMS sensors is a major aspect of the position. New product definition requires analyzing feedback from customer issues, performance of competitors products, and an understanding of available technology advancements. Understanding the customer applications, the utilization of the sensor in that system, and other associated feedback is critical in order to create a datasheet specification and effectively conveying requirements to the factory engineering team. Additional definition will also come from engaging with other ADI technologies to place appropriate MEMS products into specifically targeted signal chains.
Tools Creation and Support: The capability to generate relevant reference design and associated circuitry, both hardware and software, is necessary for creation of collateral which will provide a satisfying customer evaluation experience that leads to preference towards an ADI solution
The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communications abilities, have strong analytical and lab skills, and have outgoing, positive attitude for customer and field sales facing interactions. Approximately 20% travel (foreign and domestic) expected for both customer visits, seminars, and training events.
